Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and milk, then stir until smooth.
  • Mix the flour mixture into the butter mixture until well combined.
  • Divide the batter into two bowls, tint one with food coloring, and swirl together if desired.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cooling and Frosting
