Ingredients
  

For the truffles

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup brewed coffee, cooled Use your preferred coffee blend.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Optional, for added sweetness.

For coating

  • cocoa powder or grated chocolate Choose for coating the truffles.

Preparation

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until gently simmering.
  • Remove from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate, stirring until smooth.
  • Stir in the cooled brewed coffee and sugar (if using).
  • Cover the mixture and refrigerate for about 2 hours or until firm enough to handle.

Shaping

  • Once the mixture is firm, scoop out portions using a melon baller or teaspoon and roll into round balls by hand.
  • Roll the truffles in cocoa powder or grated chocolate to coat.
  • Place the finished truffles on a lined plate and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

For a unique twist, you can experiment with flavored coffee, add vanilla extract for more flavor, or substitute dark chocolate with milk or white chocolate.
