Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
  • Add green food coloring until your desired shade is achieved.
  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a 1/4 inch thickness.
  • Cut out cookies with your favorite cookie cutters and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.
