  • 0.5 cup diced jalapenos Adjust to desired heat level.
  • 0.5 cup diced red bell pepper Can substitute with yellow or orange.
  • 0.25 cup diced green onions or chives Provides extra flavor.
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and break it up with a spatula until creamy and smooth.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar or pepper jack cheese until fully incorporated.
  • Mix in the mayonnaise or Greek yogurt thoroughly.
  • Fold in the diced jalapenos and red bell pepper gently.
  • Sprinkle in diced green onions or chives.
  • Stir in garlic powder and onion powder.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half the cream cheese with Greek yogurt. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
