Filling

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Make sure to use granulated sugar for sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup Provides a gooey, caramel-like texture.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Melt butter to mix easily.
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Adds flavor depth.
  • 1 large egg Binds mixture together.
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans Fresh pecans enhance flavor.

Dough

  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls This is the main dough for the rolls.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and the egg until smooth.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans until well coated with the syrup mixture.
  • Unroll the can of crescent rolls and separate the dough into individual triangles on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of pecan filling onto the widest end of each triangle and carefully roll them up towards the narrow end.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes until they begin to set.
  • Remove from the oven and brush each roll with the reserved sweet mixture. Return to oven for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle a few additional chopped pecans on top if desired before serving.

Notes

Store leftover rolls in a cool location. They remain fresh for 2 days at room temperature. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for about 3 months.
