Preparation

  • In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned and golden.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant.
  • Add orzo to the pan and stir well to combine with the sausage and garlic.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Add broccoli florets, reduce heat to low, and cover the pan to let it simmer.
  • Cook for about fifteen minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.
  • Remove from heat, stir in parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve warm, enjoying every satisfying mouthful.
