  • 1/2 cup sugar or maple syrup Maple syrup can be used for a vegan option.
  • 1/4 cup almond milk or other non-dairy milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Optional for added warmth.

Mix-ins

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • Add sugar or maple syrup and stir until well combined.
  • Mix in almond milk and vanilla extract.

Combining Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.

Baking

  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
