Ingredients
  

For the French Toast

  • 6 slices Brioche bread Day-old brioche absorbs the egg mixture beautifully.
  • 2 large Eggs Whisk together with other ingredients.
  • 0.5 cup Milk Almond milk can replace regular milk for a lighter version.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter For frying.

For the Toppings

  • 1 cup Mixed berries Strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
  • 0.25 cup Maple syrup Drizzle generously over the bites.
  • to taste Powdered sugar Optional dusting for decoration.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut the brioche bread into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.

Cooking

  • Dip each brioche piece into the egg mixture, soaking for a few seconds.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a pat of butter.
  • Place the soaked brioche bites into the skillet and cook until golden on each side, about 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve the cooked bites warm, topped with mixed berries and drizzled with maple syrup.
  • Optionally dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in a covered container at room temperature for up to 1 day, or refrigerate for up to 3 days. Freeze for up to 1 month.
