Marinade Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Main Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds beef tenderloin, trimmed
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a small bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to create a marinade.
  • Rub the marinade generously over the beef tenderloin and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Sear the beef tenderloin in the skillet, browning on all sides for about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Pour beef broth into the skillet and transfer it to the preheated oven.
  • Roast for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees for medium-rare.

Rest and Serve

  • Remove the skillet from the oven and cover the tenderloin with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • Slice the beef tenderloin and drizzle with the pan juices before serving.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for the best flavor. A meat thermometer helps ensure the desired doneness.
