  • 1 cup cheddar or mozzarella cheese Gooey cheese is preferred.
  • 1 medium jalapeño Sliced for topping.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream For drizzling on top.
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes Optional nacho topping.
  • 1/2 cup green onions Optional nacho topping.
  • 1/2 cup olives Optional nacho topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven as per the package instructions for the tater tots.
  • Cook tater tots according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
  • While the tater tots are baking, heat some olive oil in a skillet.
  • Add ground beef into the skillet and season to taste. Cook until the beef is browned.

Assembly

  • Once tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and place them in a serving dish.
  • Layer the cooked ground beef over the tater tots.
  • Sprinkle gooey cheese over the beef, allowing it to melt.
  • Top with sliced jalapeños, sour cream, and any additional toppings you desire.

Notes

For added crunch, breadcrumbs can be toasted and sprinkled on top before serving. Adjust spices according to your preference.
