Preparation

  • Peel and dice the potatoes, setting them aside in a bowl.
  • Place the diced potatoes in your Instant Pot and add the chicken or vegetable broth.

Cooking

  • Seal the lid tightly, and set the Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for ten minutes.
  • Once the cooking time is up, perform a quick release of the pressure.
  • Carefully open the lid, checking for excess liquid. Drain if necessary.

Mashing

  • Add the milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the potatoes.
  • Use a masher or hand mixer to mash the potatoes until creamy and smooth.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Transfer to a bowl and garnish with additional butter if desired.

Serving

  • Serve hot alongside your favorite dishes.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days. Reheat with a splash of milk or broth to maintain texture.
