Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage Cooked until browned
  • 8 ounces cream cheese Softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese Preferably freshly shredded
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Preferably freshly shredded
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies (10 ounces) Drained

Seasonings

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for extra heat
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground sausage and cook until browned and crumbly. Drain excess fat.
  • Transfer cooked sausage to a large mixing bowl.
  • Add softened cream cheese and mix until smooth.
  • Pour in sour cream and mix well with warm sausage.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and mozzarella until combined.
  • Add drained diced tomatoes with green chilies to the mixture.
  • Mix in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

Baking

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spread dip mixture into a baking dish.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve with crispy tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices. This dip can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to four days.
