- 2 large dried hibiscus petals or ~1 tbsp
- 2 cups water
- 1 inch fresh ginger washed, peeled, and chopped
- 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup, agave, coconut sugar for vegan option
In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water and chopped ginger to a rolling boil over medium heat.
Turn off the heat and add dried hibiscus petals.
Steep for 5 minutes or longer for a stronger flavor.
Strain into a cup.
Stir in honey or your preferred sweetener.
Serve hot and enjoy.
You can swap in maple syrup, coconut sugar or any healthy sweetener for honey.
You can leave out ginger if you don't like a spicy touch to your tea.
Adjust honey depending on how sweet you prefer your tea to be.
