  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder Sifted
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour Sifted
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking powder
  • Powdered sugar For dusting Optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour a heart-shaped baking pan.

Mixing

  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter.
  • Once melted, remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing well.
  • Sift in 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder. Stir until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Serving

  • Let the brownies cool in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

For gluten-free, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. For dairy-free, use coconut oil. You can enhance flavor with a pinch of espresso powder or fold in chocolate chips before baking.
