  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • Pink food coloring Add until desired shade is reached.

Frosting Ingredients

  • 2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cups Unsalted butter Softened
  • 2 tablespoons Milk Add more for desired consistency
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • Pink ribbon or edible bow For decoration

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and greased a heart-shaped cake pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each, followed by vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
  • Stir in pink food coloring until the desired shade is achieved.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack.

Frosting and Decoration

  • Beat together powdered sugar, softened butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Frost cooled cake generously and add a pink ribbon or edible bow for decoration.
