  • 1 lb Ground turkey Choose lean ground turkey for a healthier option.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For sautéing.
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped Provides sweetness and aroma.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Add rich flavor.
  • 2 cups Diced potatoes Cut into small, even pieces.
  • 1 cup Frozen peas Add in the last few minutes of cooking.

Spices

  • 1 tsp Ground cumin For warmth and flavor.
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika Adds color and depth.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to preference.

Garnish

  • 0.25 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped Sprinkle on top before serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
  • Add ground turkey, breaking it apart as it cooks, until browned, about 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle in ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine.

Cooking

  • Add diced potatoes, cover the skillet, and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once potatoes are tender, fold in frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Serving

  • Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the dish and serve warm.
  • Enjoy with crusty bread or over rice.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. This dish can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently to maintain moisture.
