Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Scoop spoonfuls of the cookie mixture and drop them onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set and tops are slightly cracked.
