For the filling

  • 500 grams ground beef, preferably 80/20 blend This fat content keeps the meat juicy.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped Adds sweetness and flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with your favorite cheese.
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese Provides a rich, savory taste.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the garlic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste salt
  • Pepper to taste pepper

For the dough

  • 1 pack refrigerated biscuit dough Cold dough works best for a flaky texture.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter For sautéing the onion.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • In a skillet, heat one tablespoon of olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
  • Add the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese until melted.

Assembly

  • On a floured surface, roll out the biscuit dough and cut into small circles.
  • Place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of each circle.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Arrange the bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.

Notes

These bombs are excellent served with a fresh salad or marinara sauce for dipping. Try adding fresh herbs or a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor.
