Ingredients
  

For the Cheese Platter

  • 3 cups assorted cheeses Mix of soft, hard, and blue varieties
  • 2 cups fresh fruit Grapes and strawberries recommended
  • 1 cup assorted nuts For added crunch
  • to taste honey For drizzling
  • to taste fresh herbs For garnish

For the Veggie Dips

  • 1 can drained chickpeas For hummus
  • 1/4 cup tahini For hummus
  • 2 cloves garlic For hummus
  • 3 ripe avocados For guacamole
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro For guacamole

For the Cookies

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Prepare your cheese platter by combining a variety of soft, hard, and blue cheeses on a serving board.
  • Add fresh fruits including grapes and strawberries, and sprinkle with nuts.
  • Drizzle honey over the cheese and garnish with fresh herbs.

Veggie Dips

  • For the hummus, blend drained chickpeas, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice until smooth. Adjust consistency with water or olive oil if needed.
  • For the guacamole, mash avocados with lime juice, diced tomato, and chopped cilantro.

Cookies

  • Cream together unsalted butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  • Gradually add flour to the mixture until a dough forms. Shape and roll out the dough into cookies.
  • Bake cookies at 350°F until golden.

Notes

Prepare dips a day in advance for enhanced flavor. Use festive cookie cutters for shaping cookies.
