  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts) for coating
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped dill pickles, green onions, and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Using a hand mixer or spatula, blend until smooth and well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands, about 6 inches in diameter.
  • Spread the chopped nuts on a plate and gently roll the cheese ball until fully coated.
  • Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • Once chilled, unwrap and place on a serving platter. Serve with crackers, chips, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

You can add crumbled bacon or diced jalapeƱos for a spicy kick. Leftover cheese ball can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
