For the Sandwiches

  • 1 loaf white or whole grain bread
  • 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill or dill weed
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: bread, cucumber, cream cheese, mayonnaise, dill, salt, and pepper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, dill, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Layer cucumber slices on half of the prepared bread slices.
  • Top with the remaining bread slices to close the sandwiches.
  • Cut the sandwiches into quarters for serving.
  • Serve chilled for best flavor.
