  • pepper Freshly cracked, to taste.
  • chopped onions Optional for added flavor.
  • chopped carrots Optional for added texture and nutrition.

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot, allowing ample space for the gravy to envelop them fully.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the gravy mix with the cream of chicken soup until smooth and silky.
  • Slowly pour the mixture of gravy over the chicken, letting it cascade down.
  • Season generously with salt and pepper, and add chopped onions and carrots if you wish.
  • Cover your crockpot and set it to low, announcing the beginning of a delightful culinary journey.

Cooking

  • Cook on low for six to eight hours, or until the chicken becomes fork-tender.
  • Once cooked, serve your chicken hot over a bed of mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

For a thicker gravy, remove the lid and set the crockpot to high for an additional 30 minutes. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for up to three months.
