Preparation

  • Place the chicken thighs into the crockpot.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the chopped onion, minced garlic, minced ginger, tomato sauce, butter, garam masala, chili powder, and salt.

Cooking

  • Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Once the chicken is fork-tender, shred it with two forks.
  • Stir in the heavy cream until well combined.
  • Serve with naan or rice and garnish with cilantro.

Notes

If the sauce is too thick, add a little water or chicken broth to reach desired consistency. Fresh cilantro brightens the dish.
