  • 1 cup cranberries Fresh or frozen cranberries can be used
  • 1 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed is preferred
  • ½ cup sugar Can substitute with honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup orange zest Zest provides vibrant flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Orange-scented if available
  • salt and pepper to taste Generously season the turkey

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to a toasty temperature.
  • Rinse the turkey breast under cool water and pat it dry.
  • Season generously with salt and pepper, then drizzle with olive oil.
  • Place the turkey breast in a spacious roasting pan.

Making the Glaze

  • In a saucepan, combine cranberries, orange juice, sugar, and orange zest.
  • Heat over medium, allowing cranberries to burst and mixture to thicken.
  • Once thickened, pour the glaze over the turkey breast.

Cooking

  • Roast in the oven for approximately one and a half hours.
  • Baste the turkey with the glaze every thirty minutes.

Finishing Touches

  • Once golden brown and reaching an internal temperature of 165°F, remove from the oven.
  • Let the turkey rest for ten minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a delightful twist, consider adding lemon juice to the glaze or fresh herbs while roasting. Allowing the glaze to cool before applying it to the turkey will create a beautiful sticky finish.
