  • 6 slices bacon Cook until crispy.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Adds sticky sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup melted butter For richness.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Ensure it's gluten-free if needed.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a cast-iron skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy and golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Remove the bacon from the skillet, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  • Drain the canned green beans thoroughly.

Mixing

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce, and garlic powder, whisking until smooth.
  • Crumble the cooked bacon into the glaze and stir to combine.
  • Gently fold in the green beans, ensuring each bean is coated.

Baking

  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until bubbling and caramelized.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute bacon with sautéed mushrooms. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
