Wonton Cups

  • 12 pieces wonton wrappers Ensure they fit snugly into muffin cups.

Filling

  • 12 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's softened for easier mixing.
  • 1/4 cup sour cream Balances the flavors in the filling.
  • 4 oz imitation crab, chopped Or substitute with one can of lump crab, drained.
  • 2 pieces green onions, thinly sliced Adds freshness and flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Provides a subtle depth of flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce Enhances the savory taste.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a muffin pan with cooking spray.
  • Place each wonton wrapper inside the muffin cups, pressing gently to form little bowls.

Baking the Wontons

  • Bake the wonton cups for about 10 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown.
  • Remove the cups and allow them to cool slightly.

Preparing the Filling

  • In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  • Add the sliced green onions, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and chopped imitation crab, folding them together until combined.

Filling and Final Baking

  • Spoon the mixture into the wonton cups, filling them to the brim.
  • Return them to the oven for an additional 8-12 minutes until golden and heated through.
  • Top with remaining sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For the best results, use freshly made wonton wrappers. Remember to serve them hot for the best texture. Can be paired with sweet chili sauce or a cucumber salad.
