Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter for cooking.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish.
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves for garnish.
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional for heat.
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth to enhance flavor.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice for brightness.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated for garnishing.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken

  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat until silky and fragrant.
  • Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6 to 7 minutes each side.

Cook the Pasta

  • Boil a pot of water and add a pinch of salt before adding the linguine.
  • Cook the linguine until tender but still al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes.

Make the Cowboy Butter Sauce

  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and slice it into thick pieces.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, and let simmer until slightly thickened.

Combine the Pasta and Chicken

  • Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the sauce and chicken.
  • Toss to coat everything in the rich sauce, then stir in parsley, thyme, smoked paprika, and onion powder.

Serve and Garnish

  • Plate the pasta and generously sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Notes

To lighten the dish, substitute butter with olive oil. Add seasonal vegetables for flavor and nutrition.
