  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Divided, for batter and topping
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar For topping

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until glossy.
  • Add the egg, honey, and vanilla extract, whisking until everything is well combined.
  • Gently stir in the flour, salt, and half a teaspoon of cinnamon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  • In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and remaining cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the batter.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 22-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Store blondies at room temperature in an airtight container for up to three days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
