  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice Can substitute brown rice for a healthier option.
  • 2 cups beef broth Rich beef broth enhances flavor.
  • 10.75 ounce can cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken or broccoli.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to mix different cheeses.
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley For garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic, stirring until the beef is browned.
  • Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the uncooked rice and let it soak up the flavors.
  • Add the beef broth and cream of mushroom soup, stirring to combine.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

Baking

  • Carefully transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of beef broth to keep moist.
