  • 1 pound fresh green beans Trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons butter For sautéing
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella

Preparation

  • Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for three to four minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about one minute.
  • Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic butter.
  • Reduce heat to low and sprinkle the shredded cheese over the green beans.
  • Let it melt, stirring gently, until every piece is enveloped in cheesy goodness.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve warm as a delightful side dish.

Notes

For a kick, consider adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Fresh lemon juice can brighten the flavors further.
