These flaky pastry pockets are bursting with creamy brie, tart cranberry sauce, and crunchy candied pecans, making them a perfect appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients
  

For the Bites

  • 1 package puff pastry Thawed if frozen
  • 8 oz brie cheese Cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce Homemade or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup candied pecans Chopped
  • 1 large egg For egg wash, optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares, about 2 inches in size.
  • Place a small piece of brie and a spoonful of cranberry sauce in the center of each pastry square.
  • Top with a few candied pecans.
  • Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal. If desired, brush the tops with egg wash.

Baking

  • Lay the bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let the bites cool briefly before serving warm.

Notes

These bites can be prepared in advance and stored in an airtight container. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
