Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough Base

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is softened for best texture.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Packed brown sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour For gluten-free, use a blend with xanthan gum.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chopped pecans Fresh pecans are recommended.

Chocolate Drizzle

  • 1/4 cup Chocolate chips Melted for drizzling.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour and salt until well incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the chopped pecans.

Baking

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced about two inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.

Finishing Touches

  • Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle them over the cooled cookies.

Notes

If cookies spread too much, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Consider using different nuts for variation.
