Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter Melted and browned
  • 1 cup Packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt a cup of unsalted butter, allowing it to simmer and bubble gently until browned.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the warm brown butter with one cup of packed brown sugar and half a cup of granulated sugar, stirring until smooth.
  • Add two large eggs and two teaspoons of vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together two and a half cups of all-purpose flour, one teaspoon of baking soda, and half a teaspoon of salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, folding in gently until just combined.
  • Fold in one and a half cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • Drop generous balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let them cool for a few moments before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Let your butter brown slowly for rich flavor. Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for better shape. Consider using milk chocolate chips or adding sea salt on top before cooling for a special touch.
