Ingredients
  

Main ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry Make sure it is fully thawed.
  • 8 ounces brie cheese Use quality cheese for best results.
  • 1/4 cup fruit preserves Apricot, raspberry, or fig suggested.
  • 1 each egg For egg wash.
  • as needed as needed flour For dusting.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares.
  • Place a slice of brie cheese in the center of each square.
  • Add a spoonful of fruit preserves on top of the brie.
  • Fold the corners of the pastry over the brie and preserves, pinching to seal.
  • Arrange the bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until they are golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm for the best creamy texture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a day or refrigerated. Freezing is also an option; reheat from frozen for best results.
