  • 2 cups shredded cheese Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth.
  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked and crumbled sausage to the egg mixture.
  • Stir in the diced bread, allowing it to absorb the flavors.
  • Fold in the shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing it into squares.

Notes

Can be made ahead of time and refrigerated overnight. Serve with fresh fruit or yogurt for a well-rounded meal.
