  • 1 pound boudin sausage Remove casing before mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or your favorite blend recommended.
  • 1 large egg For egg wash.

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley For garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the crescent rolls onto a baking sheet, pinching the seams together to form a single sheet.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the boudin sausage (removed from casing) and shredded cheese.
  • Spread the boudin and cheese mixture over the crescent roll sheet, leaving a small border at the edges.
  • Roll the dough into a log shape and seal the ends to form a ring.
  • Brush the top with a beaten egg for a golden crust.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley, if desired.
  • Slice and serve the Boudin King Cake warm.
