- 1 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 0.25 teaspoons salt
- blue food coloring For the blue batter.
- yellow food coloring For the yellow batter.
Decoration Ingredients
- buttercream frosting, for decoration
- edible glitter or colorful sprinkles, optional For extra decoration.
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your mini cake mold.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and finishing with the flour.
Baking
- Divide the batter into two bowls, adding blue food coloring to one and yellow to the other.
- Pour the colored batters into the prepared mold, creating layers.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool completely before removing them from the mold.
Decoration
- Frost the cooled cakes with buttercream and use colored frosting to decorate with moons and stars.
- Optionally sprinkle with edible glitter or colorful sprinkles.
Notes
For best results, check that all ingredients, especially butter, are at optimal temperature. Remember to not overmix the batter.
