Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup cranberry sauce Preferably fresh or homemade
  • 2 cups cream cheese Softened for easy spreading
  • 1 loaf sliced bread Any type, gluten-free option available
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans Can be replaced with walnuts or sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon butter Melted, for greasing
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For sprinkling on top

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spread a generous layer of cream cheese over each slice of bread.
  • Spoon cranberry sauce onto each slice, allowing it to slightly drip over the edges.
  • Evenly sprinkle chopped pecans across the slices.
  • Dust lightly with cinnamon for added warmth.
  • Arrange the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, watching until the edges turn golden and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor experience. For extra flavor, drizzle honey over the cranberry sauce before baking, or add sliced olives for a Mediterranean twist. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
